selfships!!!
click on a ship to go to their section!! (note: most of these are not as canon-accurate as they could be, i do throw in quite a few headcanons/ideas, and the backstories may not make a lot of sense if you're unfamiliar with the media the characters are from)

Asteria Ruby

Asher
He/It/She
The Summoner
Wielder of Breidablik, summoner of Heroes, and defender of Askr; Asher was once a normal young man with a love for art and technology, but being summoned to Askr completely changed his life.
Constantly doubting his own decisions and worrying for the safety of his comrades, he finds comfort in the presence and protection of Valter and Iago.
His relationship with Valter and Iago is a (not very well kept) secret, with only a handful of Heroes being aware of it.
Asher felt attached to Iago and Valter from the moment he met them, and their relationship quickly grew, with the trio becoming almost inseparable.

Valter
He/It
Dark Moonstone
A bloodthirsty and cruel Wyvern Knight, Valter finds enjoyment in hunting down and slaughtering his enemies. Despite the concerns of other Heroes, Valter's loyalty to Asher makes him a powerful ally.
Possessive and protective, Valter keeps Asher safe, even teaching him how to fight with a lance so he can protect himself on the battlefield.
He enjoys provoking and taunting fellow Heroes, with Asher and Iago often having to intervene and apologise for his behaviour.
Valter is obsessed with Iago and Asher - a fact which is known by almost everyone - and he loves public displays of affection, often making attempts at keeping their relationship a secret rather futile.

Iago
She/He/They
Nohr's Tactician
Manipulative and scheming, Iago often lends her skills as a tactician to Askr at Asher's request, helping the summoner to make difficult decisions and prepare for battles. Despite her plans typically succeeding, most Heroes still believe Iago is untrustworthy.
Easily irritated yet cowardly in the face of genuine danger, Iago can be found frequently arguing with other Heroes, disagreeing over trivial matters.
She struggles to express affection as openly as Valter does, often becoming flustered by Valter's relentless flirting. Despite this, Iago can occasionally be seen holding Asher's hand and whispering affectionate words to him to soothe him during stressful times.

Wild Horse

Wildflower
He/Him
Stand: Enjoy the Silence
Wildflower had a difficult childhood, growing up with few friends and parents who barely acknowledged his presence. His Stand awoke in his teenage years, prompting him to believe all his hardships in life were for a greater purpose, that he was special compared to his peers.
His Stand, 'Enjoy the Silence' has the ability to manipulate shadows, transforming them into whatever Wildflower requires; shadows cast over Wildflower's body can be turned into armor, nearby shadows can be turned into weapons and inflict damage as if they were real, areas can even be made dangerous by creating spikes or other hazards from shadows. Due to requiring shadows, his Stand is weaker in well-lit areas with little shade, so he prefers to fight in dark, cramped areas where shadows cover almost everything.
Shortly after becoming an adult, he sold all of his possessions, using the money to fund a journey around the world to discover his true purpose in life; or, at the very least, discover where he belongs in the world.
He ends up in America, befriending a hotel owner and being given a part-time job as a receptionist so he can acquire more money to continue his journey. The hotel owner is a fellow Stand user, his Stand being 'Hotel California'; a Stand with the ability to make anyone who stays at the hotel return the next day, affecting their sense of direction so any attempts to travel away lead them back to the hotel, until the Stand user is satisfied with the amount of money he's taken from them.
After Hol Horse stays at the hotel and - after a few days - discovers their scheme, an argument between him and the hotel owner breaks out, with Wildflower stepping in and causing a fight to begin. Attempting to defuse the situation, the hotel owner states he'll give Hol Horse his money back, along with some compensation for the handful of injuries Wildflower inflicted, as long as he promises to take Wildflower to the next town in his journey. Hesitantly, Wildflower goes along with the hotel owner's idea, finally having enough money to comfortably travel again.
During a brief visit to a bar on the way to the town, they encounter another Stand user who attempts to attack them when her pickpocketing attempts fail. They successfully fend off their attacker, realising they would be safer travelling together. Despite Wildflower's confidence in travelling alone, he knows travelling with another Stand user is safer, and though he initially only expresses his more emotional side to tug at Hol Horse's heartstrings when in need of money, Wildflower slowly develops genuine feelings towards his companion, and becomes more emotionally vulnerable towards him.

Hol Horse
He/Him
Stand: Emperor
After the events of Stardust Crusaders, Hol Horse decided to spend a few years travelling by himself, his handful of near-death experiences making him aware of how much he hadn't seen yet in the world.
While visiting America, he stayed at the same hotel Wildflower was working at, falling victim to the ability of 'Hotel California' for a few days. He initially thought Wildflower was a beautiful woman, mistakenly calling him a 'pretty lady' and attempting to flirt with him, making Hol Horse's next few visits to the hotel rather awkward.
Travelling somewhat aimlessly, he had few objections to the hotel owner's idea of him accompanying Wildflower for a while, the car he had 'acquired' for his journey having plenty of fuel to reach Wildflower's next destination.
After their fight with another Stand user and their decision to travel together for a while longer, Hol Horse grew fond of travelling with Wildflower, charmed by his sarcastic sense of humor and brutal honesty. For a long time, he believed his feelings towards Wildflower were one-sided, until Wildflower began gradually opening up about his true feelings towards him. Despite this, their lifestyles never truly aligned, and Hol Horse knew deep down one day they'd likely go their own ways.
Years later, once Wildflower found a nice apartment and began a career as an artist, Hol Horse left without saying goodbye to him, leaving nothing but a note affirming his love for Wildflower - a genuine, true love, different from the 'love' he had lied about feeling for many people.
In December 1999, a familiar face shows up at Wildflower's apartment, wondering if he'll be forgiven for leaving so suddenly. When the new year arrives, they celebrate it together.

The Lovers

Deimos
He/It/They
Knight of Doom
Deimos was once a knight protecting Hyrule Castle Town and the areas around it, doing his best to ensure the safety of villagers and his fellow knights.
The early years of his life were uneventful, yet he was often tormented by visions of an apocalyptic future, and he would become tired and nauseous after experiencing those visions.
After an encounter with monsters which left several of Deimos's comrades dead, Deimos was frequently harassed by the relatives of those deceased comrades, blaming him for those tragic deaths.
This upset Deimos severely enough for him to quit his job and avoid society, gradually falling into despair at his worsening financial and social situation.
He eventually discovered a cult worshipping Calamity Ganon - an evil entity which had been sealed away long ago - and eagerly awaiting the apocalyptic events Deimos had seen in his visions.
Lonely and upset, Deimos joined the cult, quickly becoming close friends with the other cultists - including Astor.
When Harbinger Ganon - a being controlled by Calamity Ganon - was about to show the cultists a vision of the future, Deimos felt unwell due to his own visions, and chose to stay behind so his fellow cultists wouldn't be distracted by his discomfort.
After hearing some noises of distress, Deimos was horrified to discover Harbinger Ganon had slaughtered the majority of them, only sparing Astor, having chosen him as its ally.
Reminded of the deaths of the knights he had known in the past, Deimos's mental wellbeing rapidly declined, and he believed Harbinger Ganon had kept him alive to work alongside Astor; both of them becoming convinced bringing about the destruction of Hyrule was their fate.
Deimos was supposed to die alongside the rest of the cult, but Harbinger Ganon had simply forgotten him as he was not present at the time the others died, and it decided keeping him alive would be beneficial to keep Astor's loyalty, as he had grown fond of Deimos.

Astor
He/She
Prophet of Doom
A fortune teller from a small village in Hyrule, Astor's life before joining the cult worshipping Calamity Ganon is a mystery.
Typically cold and distant towards other people, Astor slowly developed a close friendship with Deimos, both of them sharing an interest in various methods of divination.
After most of Astor's fellow cultists died, he became obsessed with Calamity Ganon, fixated upon the destruction of Hyrule.
With Deimos fighting by his side, Astor grew even closer to him, their love growing beyond shared interests and shared goals - becoming a sense of devotion which inspires them to keep each other safe, a devotion which eventually saves them both when their enemies corner them and Calamity Ganon betrays them.

Just so you know...
i have a lot of other selfships i may mention randomly - some might seem like canon x canon but are actually selfships due to kinning a character or being an introject of them; i'm not going to list them all here or this page would be ridiculously long... u_u
all things considered, i don't take this stuff super seriously. i have an irl partner and i am just here to have fun and smooch fictional characters! :3
